Katherine Stormer is from the Bay Area, California. She is currently in her fourth year at Oberlin College, where she is studying Cinema & Media, Sociology, and Anthropology. She applies her interest in human behavior to her film & photography and often gravitates towards analog animation to tell stories. She is currently working on a documentary about relationships sparked up in retirement homes and is heavily incorporating animation.

In her professional journey, Katherine has constantly involved herself in collaborative and artistic work. A lot of her work has revolved around child and adolescent education, which has served as a vibrant inspiration to her work. She developed her production experience at Prague Film School in Spring 2025, where she worked on dozens of sets, predominantly serving as Assistant Director.

In her free time, Katherine plays guitar with her friends, bakes and perfects recipes, takes pottery classes, and spends time outdoors. She will graduate from Oberlin College in the spring of 2026.
